This is my first CRAZY COOKING CHALLENGE. This month challenge is apple pie. I didn't have that long to think about which apple pie to make because I heard about the CRAZY COOKING CHALLENGE this Friday.

At Christmas I got a Le Creuset petit casserole and with it I got a booklet with recipe you can make in it. In this booklet I found my inspiration to this apple pie. The apple pie in the booklet called for almonds and cinnamon, but for a long time I have wanted to try to bake a cake with allspice. I have made my own allspice since it isn’t possible to get in Denmark.
This portion gives 6 petite casseroles of apple pie.
You don’t need to use a Le Creuset petite casserole you just need to use an ovenproof bowl.

Ingredients:
200 g or 7 oz butter
200 g or 7 oz butter
225 g or 7,5 oz flour (I used wholemeal)
2 tsp allspice (if you don’t have allspice you can make it from 1/3 cinnamon, 1/3 clove and 1/3 nutmeg)
6-8 apples

Mix together a teaspoon of sugar with the allspice.
Peel and dice the apples.
Mix together butter, sugar and flour.
Put some batter in the bottom of the casserole.
I had enough batter to cover the sides to.
Mix the diced apples with the allspice.
Don’t use all the allspice leave some for later.
Put the apples in the casserole.
Form a lid from the rest of the batter at press on top of the apples and sprinkle with allspice.
Bake the pie in a preheated oven at 200 C or 392 F for 25 min or until it’s golden brown.

DANSK UDGAVE

Ingredienser:
200 g smør
200 g sukker
