Now comes
the time for Foodie Penpal once again. This month I was Foodie Penpal to Phil,
whom I send a box of Danish foods and recipes. My Foodie Penpal was Lauren from
Ireland. I asked her to send me something special Irish, and this is what she
send me:
Heart
shaped soda farls.
Unfortanatly
these didn’t make the trip to Denmark. They were moldy but I tried a small bit
and they tasted great a bit sour.
Chocolate
and ginger brownies.
Earl grey
tea.
Irish
cheese with seaweed.
I used some of it in a omlet with left over salmon.

Almonds with BBQ flavor.
Thai galangal.
Used in Asian food to make the dish more hot and tangy. I can't wait to try it.

Flatbread.
The box contained to kind of fladtbrad, one kind with spelt and another kind with sesame and pumpkin. They where really good and din't last very long. I just love crackers.

SletI've never heard of "farls," but too bad they didn't keep on the trip. I looked up some recipes just now & it seems relatively easy to try making a batch.
SvarSletI've got a link to a recipe from my Foodie Penpal so I'm going to make them myself
SletYou got a wonderful box of goodies this month!
