Foodie Penpal - October

Time for Foodie Penpal. I first send this post last Saturday, but when I went to the link up site at the leangreenbean there wasn't any Foodie Penpal for October. When I check my mail for this month matches I saw that the reveal time the 31. of October. Ups so I quickly took it down and so I could reveal it at the right time. 
  
My Foodie Penpal this month was Joan from Scotland.
I send a parcel to Beks and her family from Plymouth.

My parcel contained: Dried fruit, peanuts with wasabi, Scottish oatcakes, Crisp with haggis (tasted like pepper), piping bags, almond flour, star anis and steamer bags for microwave. 

Foodie Penpal - September

It's now time for Foodie Penpal.

It's been a funny month of Foodie Penpal when I got the spreadsheet I found out that the person how send me a Foodie Penpal parcel last month (Jessica) is the person I was going to send to this month. 
When I got my parcel from Laura I first found it funny that the box looked like the box I send last month, and then slowly realized that it was the same box. 

Foodie Penpal - July and August

Yay it's time for Foodie Penpal. I have now been a part of Foodie Penpal program for a year and it's been amazing. Every month I have had fun putting Foodie Penpal parcels together and receiving foods from all over Europe.   

My Foodie Penpal parcel for July arrived in the beginning of August so I wasn't able to post this in July. The contains of this parcel is at the bottom of this post. 
  
This month I send a parcel to John who has the blog Tow Greedy Muncunians. I received a parcel from Jessica from Germany, she has the blog Be vegan - going vegan.   

Foodie Penpal - June

I'ts been a couple of month since I've participated in the Foodie Penpal. In Marts I couldn't participate and I thought that I would be a part of the Foodie Penpal for April but I didn't get the mail, and then I kept putting of signing me op for the next month.

This month the person I send a box was Therese from Switzerland. I send her a box treats made from dandelion flowers and roses. This month Iva from London was my Foodie Penpal.

Iva is from Bulgaria and she lives near a Bulgarian store. Iva send me these wonderfuld things:

Now comes the time for Foodie Penpal once again. This month I was Foodie Penpal to Phil, whom I send a box of Danish foods and recipes. My Foodie Penpal was Lauren from Ireland. I asked her to send me something special Irish, and this is what she send me:

Heart shaped soda farls.

Unfortanatly these didn’t make the trip to Denmark. They were moldy but I tried a small bit and they tasted great a bit sour.

Chocolate and ginger brownies.

Earl grey tea.

 

Irish cheese with seaweed.
I used some of it in a omlet with left over salmon.

 

Almonds with BBQ flavor.

Thai galangal.
Used in Asian food to make the dish more hot and tangy. I can't wait to try it.

Flatbread.
The box contained to kind of fladtbrad, one kind with spelt and another kind with sesame and pumpkin. They where really good and din't last very long. I just love crackers.

Foodie Penpal - October

It’s Foodie Penpal reveal time, it’s my favorite time of the month.

The person I send a box to was Sue from Sue in Training, and I got a box from KeliAnne.

Here at the end of the month I thought that I might not get a box, but yesterday when I got home there was a note from the post for me to pick up a parcel.  So today I went to the post office to collect the box, just in time for Foodie Penpal reveal day.

It’s now the time of the month to reveal ones Foodie penpal gift. Foodie penpals is just a great concept you each month send a box of goodie to one person and another person sends you a box of goodie.

My foodie penpal this month was Anika from Berlin, and I was Foodie penpal for Jessica from London.

Anika send me these lovely thins:

 Tow edible glitter

One black with a hint of green and one dark purple.

 

Hand and nail crème

which is very smooth and has a nice scent of apple and cinnamon.

A bread to smoothen the sauce.

I never heard about this before but it sounds interesting.

Tow small bottles of German spirits.

A kirsch (cherry liqueur) and a maraschino liqueur.

Sourdough bread starters

Bread spices

The background on the individual items was wrapped around the liqueurs. I it’s just so cute that I just had to show it.  

 

My next baking projects are:

Foodie penpal - August

I've joined the Foodie Penpal, where you send a box of food items to one person and another sends you a box.

My Foodie Penpal this month was Jade Mellor of Wild Pickings. She send me this wonderful box of edible flowers. I can't wait to the ingredients out.

The box contained wild Flower Tea.

This tea is super good.
